Pursuing This Race

Updated: Apr 12, 2022

My name is Linda S. Ross and, I am running for County Commissioner because these are crucial times. There is so much that this county is in need of and over the years God has given us the fortitude, clear insight and the intelligence to understand what really needs to be addressed. Our children and our senior adults face so many obstacles and struggles in their daily lives that are overlooked that cause strain and division in our society. Many negative actions and behaviors are taking root in our county such as trafficking and death by drugs & alcohol, young people committing suicide, children killing children, prostitution, and so much more that has been swept under the rug and hidden in Richmond County. These factors need to be addressed and dealt with because Richmond County stands for so much more.

As County Commissioner we stand in a place to complete research, implement programs, and allow and disallow specific businesses to come in and out of this county that will help aid in making a difference in the lives of our people. I believe the different positions that I have held throughout the years such as Lieutenant of the Department of Corrections, Pastor for over 20 years, and Chair of Scotland County Reentry have prepared me for this grand opportunity. In all of these places I have stood in a position to bring people into a place of success. The passion and compassion I have for our communities is the foundation of my desire to run for County Commissioner. My desire for this county is to be a place that is unified.

I understand who I am, who's I am, the passion I have, the circumstances that move and drive my will, the heart that I have for making a difference in the world, and why I am called. These are the reasons I am pursing this County Commissioner race. There's a desire to help this county live their best lives now! It is a privilege and an honor to be able to run as County Commissioner.
